Nettie grinned as Derf explained his background in Mermish, she would definitely have to take him up on that because that sounded awesome, but she didn't get a chance to tell him that. Instead, something caught her eye off in the distance. There was...shimmering seaweed off in the distance. It seemed off...something about it was calling out to her.
She watched as Derf swam off towards it, and with a small shrug, decided she was going too. She HAD said to herself she was sticking with him! Plus, she was curious. She knew they weren't supposed to, but a small group was forming, so she wasn't the only one who had seen the seaweed and seen that it was a bit weird.
