Maddie hadn't really expected a thank you or anything like that. She had, however, at least expected some sort of look of appreciation. If Maddie's haired looked like green beans had been puked onto it, she'd want to know. Apparently, this girl just wanted to sleep. "Kid?" Maddie asked, wrinkling her nose just a little. And who did this girl think she was...someone's grandma? She was...what? Two or three years older than Maddie. The young Hufflepuff just sighed and didn't bother herself with it any longer. Granny over there had figured out what had happened to her, so Maddie's work here was done.

So on to that question. Maddie had had some time to think about an answer, so her hand was already in the air. "What about using the spell to turn something into stone for you to hide behind when under attack? You know, kind of like soldiers using a fort during a battle?" she suggested. Of course, you couldn't hide behind it for long. It would give you a nice place to come up with a plan of attack, though.
