Practising non-verbal magic was hard work, and Hattie could already feel herself getting a headache. This was totally why she never practised usually. Getting headaches could get off her epilepsy, and that was not needed. So the blonde laid of the practising for now. She did have a good reason why. She was sure the professor didn't want to deal with a seizure in the middle of her class. She'd not had one for well over a year now too, so she'd like to keep that record. She was planning on trying the non-verbal magic again though, but she would just keep it low key, practising when she felt like it. And then if she managed to do it, then it would be okay. If not, well that didn't matter either in her opinion.
The lesson was moving on anyway, so that was quite good. Hmm. How could she use this spell? Well. It turned things into stone, so that was quite useful. The blonde thought for a minute, doodling a little on her paper as she did so. A pile of rocks appeared on her parchment as she thought. The seventh year did though, eventually put her hand into the air. "It could be used to barricade ourself into a location, such as an office or cupboard. It would be useful for example here in school, since we'd most likely need to get help from more experienced witches, and wizards, so using Duro to make a barricade would buy us some time"
