| Mostly Derf/narrator Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict All the information about the long ago Triwizard Tournament was interesting, but it hadn’t taken much to tear Stasya’s attention from Bartholomew Henry and his lecture. Besides, she knew the stories. It wasn’t coincidence that her pets had names from those stories, after all, even if Raisa and Lyuba didn’t. She hadn’t named either the cat or the crup. There was too much that was intriguing about being inside the lake, not in the least of which had been the possibility of trying out the Mermish she’d been learning. In fact, she wondered why their Mermish instructor hadn’t thought of this for a lesson. Even if she was fully aware that real merpeople weren’t like the fairy tales depicted them. Or, maybe they were. The real story of the little mermaid was awfully vicious, really.
But anyway, the sight of the merpeople village, and the actual merpeople near it had caught the blonde’s attention nearly at the same time as the baby snake had started swimming that direction, followed by Derf and then Professor Wayland. She’d turned her own pathway that directon as well, although she’d stayed a little ways off. Watching the hippocampus with the merpeople, mostly, and listening the best she could to the professor’s agreement with one or the other. Either way, she was awfully curious about what the merpeople had wanted with the creature. “Professor Wayland, is the hippocampus going to be okay?,” she asked, voice slightly muffled by the bubble keeping her breathing.
Plus, she’d noticed the greenish shadow behind them, and turned to swim after Derf as he’d gone to investigate. On the one hand, she figured she could argue that she’d gone to bring him back to the group, but on the other, she was curious too. “You know about seaweed?,” she asked him as she came alongside where he was examining the leaves outstretching a hand to do the same.
Maybe there were more creatures hidden in there. Kind of like when she’d met the unicorns in the forest.
