Four galleons? Nettie didn't have four galleons, obviously. She barely had four sickles. She'd spent all her money on candy on the train, and wasn't going to get any more allowance until next week. Still, the girl didn't need to know that. She smiled, acting like she was still interested and bouncing a bit on her toes. "Can I see it? So I know if it's worth it or not?" she asked.

THAT would get the girl to admit she was lying. She was sure of it! There was no pool, Nettie was sure of it now - but she wasn't going to just accuse some older girl of lying. That was no fun! Although she did appreciate being called small and cute. It was an aesthetic she was always striving for.
