We’d definitely need it to hide in then”, his grin wide and teasing. He honestly didn’t think he could make it, let alone get away with making it. Someone would catch them. He was certain.
Watching Daniel carefully, he considered the room. “I think the Grey lady...I don’t know. I mean she might to a Ravenclaw but even then, it’s not guaranteed”. She really was unpredictable. He had a feeling that she knew but telling them? That would be another thing.
“What about Nick? Think he knows something?”. After all, the ghosts had been around for so long, they must know something, At least a clue that could help them. This gave him another idea. Who else had been here for a long time? The sorting hat? Paintings? House Elves!!! “Maybe we could ask the Elves? They’d have to tell us, right?”. Were fanged frisbees dangerous? Daehyun would've normally shaken his head or face-palmed, but he could only burst into laughter. "They're fanged. And they snarl- trust me, you don't want one thrown at you." And Polyjuice potion?! Why was he so intent on finding dangerous stuff? "I doubt it'll work if we try to trigger it..." Maybe they just had to wait until they were in real need... which might or might not happen in the seven years they spend at Hogwarts. He sighed. "We're going to need a lot of patience for this, won't we?" Siiiiigh.
"Sir Nicholas," he found himself correcting his friend, like his house ghost would. Better get him used to using Sir Nicholas before calling the ghost Nick. Really, he was only trying to avoid Ewan getting scolded or angering the ghost. "I could try to get him to give me at least a hint," he said thoughtfully, wondering how to approach the subject. Surely he'll find something.
But the elves! "Oh! They just might! I think that's a great idea!" Though, at the same time, he didn't want to take advantage of their kindness. Wouldn't they feel obliged to tell them if they knew, even if they didn't want to? |
