Charlie didn't have to do a clean sweep of the entire hall to see a familiar face to sit with. Just by the entrance, Kye was sat on a table, piling up her plate. This girl has an issue with hoarding apparently, but Charlie didn't mind it one bit. He actually appreciates girls who eat and not care about gaining extra weight or something. "Hey Kye, leave some for me, yeah?" Charlie sat in front of her, grinning, and watched his goblet fill with pumpkin juice. The Hufflepuff made a face and leaned closer to his goblet. "I prefer water please, thank you." As if his goblet was sentient, the contents of his cup turned into clear liquid. "D'ya think I can get soda around here? I'm asking for a friend..." he may be a Hufflepuff, but he was clearly not aware of the wonders of the kitchen that was just situated near their dorms. Oblivious Poofer is oblivious.
Kye had just finished situating her plate when she heard her name. Whipping around, she saw her trolley friend!

"Hey Charlie!" she greeted him happily, " Hey, I don't think my stomach could ever keep up with the house elves, so I think you're okay." She motioned toward the kitchens below, which, FUN FACT, she had only visited a couple of times during her time here. Hmmm soda, huh? "Well we can always go ask in the kitchens if you'd like, but honestly I've never actually had soda." She didn't think that was weird either. It's not like she had never heard of it or something, it just wasn't something offered to her growing up. Kye was actually a big fan of milk or a glass of orange juice typically.

As she took a bite of mashed potatoes and gravy, Kye noted Charlie's outfit. "Did you play Quidditch at your old school?" she wondered if she'd be seeing him out on the pitch this year. Was he trying out??
