Lydia had been looking for a quiet place to practice with her violin. Reading the sign outside the room, she decided this was a perfect place. Not only would she get in some practice, but she'd help the sick and ailing plants as well! Her mum had once shown her a news story from the Times of London about how plants responded to music and even people speaking to them. They perked up in response to gentle, caring words and classical music. Lydia thought that was amazing.

Lydia stepped into the greenhouse and walked over to some droopy looking flowers. Poor things. They definitely needed some cheering up. She removed her Knilling violin and bow from its case. Then she removed a block of rosin from her pocket and began rubbing it all along the bowstrings. When she was satisfied, she positioned the bow under her chin and began to play a few practice notes, just getting warmed up.

Truth was she didn't know too many songs yet, and she was feeling a bit rusty. Luckily no one else seemed to be around yet to make fun of her if she hit a few sour notes!
