Kye looked around as the door was shut and she began to feel a little anxiety... What the heck? Professor Grimsbane never closed the door quietly. What was wrong?? As her internal questions were answered, Kye furrowed her brow. People... didn't... know the difference? Wasn't that elementary? Of course it made sense that a first year or two would have missed some of the concept, but apparently it was wide-spread enough to have part of a lesson on it? Maybe next year, the professor should start talking about that like, first day... Not that Kye would be around to see how that played out.
Kye had risen her hand to answer, if only to show that she was not one of the ones who did not know the difference, but she had to hand it to Daisy for her short, sweet explanation. That's really what it was: function to form. "I like Daisy's way of putting it. It's the altering of something's function versus the altering of something's form. For instance, charming something to fly or actually giving it wings." Hmm, the most useful spell? Kye giggled a little before responding. "Well, especially from the first couple of years, I'd say Reparifarge has been a good one to keep in the back pocket. After creating our own outfits for Professor Stewart last year though, I've been liking Multicorfors. I assume that's also what is used on our robes once we are Sorted?" This was slightly posed as a question, as to invite the professor to correct her if she was wrong. |
