Gryffindor for life Notorious Niffler
A slight frown crossed Celestia's face as Mr. Yoon squeaked out his greeting. Clearly, something terrible was troubling the boy. Although she wasn't his Head of House, Celestia liked to think that she was available for any of her students to talk to about their problems if they wished. With that thought in mind, she quickly smoothed any trace of a frown off her face and replaced it with a bright smile. "You're not disturbing me at all, Mr. Yoon. Quite the opposite in fact--", Celestia informed him reassuringly -- or she tried to before the Gryffindor's attention was stolen by that feline Thing currently rolling around the floor making a nuisance of itself. Mr. Yoon looked positively shocked by the Thing, which made Celestia take a closer look at the kitten as well.
It was obviously half-kneazle or some such, because as soon as it sensed the boy's attention, it curled into a ball that invited him to pet it. Typical. She could hardly deny any child's puppy eyes, however; they worked just as well with human children as they did with puppies, really. Celestia gave him another tight smile and replied as warmly as she could, "Of course you can. I'm sure, uhh, it would like that very much. Take your time." She hoped it wasn't too obvious that she hadn't even checked to see if the Thing was a male or a female, so Mr. Yoon's question had caught her off guard. She was fairly sure that it was female, but how embarrassing would it be to say that and immediately be proven wrong? Regardless, the entire purpose of the Thing was to put students' minds at ease when they visited her office, and she was very pleased that it was finally serving its purpose in its original form. Celestia favored Mr. Yoon and the Thing with another encouraging smile and then began bustling around to assemble things for tea. Tea always helped upset students, didn't it?
