The man was always surprised when students came to his office. He knew he wasn’t the most popular teacher around, cause let’s face it, he wasn’t nearly as cool as Hirsch was, or as kind and as wacky as Paul was.
Not to mention he knew he had big shoes to fill. He had heard of the Legend that was Airey Flamsteed. He could in no way measure up to all of that. So instead, he tried to be himself. Quiet and tea drinking..
Ahh well.. At the invitation, Jessa nudged the door to the office...but that was all she did. As was the case when she visited any other Professor besides her Head of House, the Ravenclaw didn't go into their offices. Today....Mr. Kennedy....would not be the exception to that so the young girl remained standing just outside the door.
"Hello Mr. Kennedy." She said with a small wave. "I won't be keeping you long." Not when she could clearly see that he was busy with....er....papers? Homework? Other Astronomy related things? Didn't really matter, his business was his own and she was here for another matter entirely. "I think we can just cut to the chase. I'd like access to the Restricted Section. There's this book....I'm hoping I'll find in there and I figured you'd appreciate me asking rather than sneaking in." Not that he'd ever know but for the sake of courtesy and all.
"I've already exhausted the shelves of the regular library, so it might be my next best bet. Ideally, I could make time to search it this evening. Have some potions on a slow burner right now that won't require my attention for quite a few hours. Time's a real factor in finding this book though."
If was a matter of the utmost importance.
