"Good luck!" Lydia called to Beth as she finished her own arm circles.

This was it. This was the moment she'd been waiting for. It was time to fly! Feeling very nervous, Lydia brushed her wavy black hair back from her face and gripped the handle of her borrowed broom tightly. She could do this. It would probably be like riding a horse, which she'd done occasionally with her dad. He was big into equestrianism.

Lydia took a deep breath and mounted her broom. She took a moment to flash a quick smile at the captain as well, to let her know that she had this. Then she pushed off gently from the ground with her feet and before she knew it she was up in the air! The wind rushed gently past her face, and wow, this was great! Finally, her nervousness fading, Lydia began flying slowly around the pitch, doing the laps as Skylar had instructed. At first her pace was slow, even lazy, but as she gained confidence, she leaned forward on the broom, and it picked up speed. Ok, this wasn't bad at all. She could get used to this. Even if she wasn't picked for the team, Lydia thought she would probably still do a lot of flying. How could anyone not love it?
