So many floors in Hogwarts. Well, it was afterall, a castle. And the more Quinn explored, the more each floor seemed to radiate secrets. Perhaps it was just her imagination wishing for an abundance of secrets to discover on each floor. Either way, she had the distinct feeling she'd only discover a small fraction of Hogwarts' secrets.
Like this bust muttering endlessly in latin. Was it just a quirk of the school and the world she had been born into, or was his mutterings a key to some secret maybe? Quinn was still far from fluent in latin, and she could only catch the occasional odd word, too disjointed and missing context to piece together.
She sighed and looked around, eyes briefly scanning the arcade. It was surprisingly empty. Normally this was packed with kids, which was one of the reasons she avoided it usually. The other, she was too embarrassed to admit, was she didn't know how to play most of them. Her parents could never be bothered to take the time, and Keesey usually had something to do that prevented playing for long. Quinn had played the occasional game once or twice with Beth and Octavia, but other than that, it was as foreign to her as the telly was.
Today, however, Quinn was alone here, and her curiosity drew her closer. A quick peek before anyone else happened along...
Only, as Quinn entered the antechamber, she realized she wasn't quite as alone as she thought. A house elf she hadn't meet yet, was tidying up. This sort of company Quinn had no issue with. "Sorry, I didn't realize you were tidying up. I won't make a mess, I promise." She smiled warmly at the elf. "I'm Quinn."
