Sir Nicholas glided up through the floor into the Gryffindor common room. The ghost could only stare in confusion for a minute, the theme of the evening's festivities lost upon him. Undeterred, he gave a deep bow and said, "Good evening, Gryffindors!"

The Head of House's outfit earned a quizzical look. "Good evening, Professor Marchand. What interesting attire you have!"

Sir Nicholas spotted two of the new student leaders and floated toward them. "Gentlemen, I believe congratulations are in order! I trust you will serve our most noble house well." Dare he hope that this be the year they beat Slytherin?

The ghost then noticed two young girls (Lily & Ari) he'd not seen before and bowed to each of them in turn. "Hello, ladies. I don't believe we've met. My name is Sir Nicholas DeMimsy-Porpington."
