Actually, she couldn't be sure either way, and if it were a trick designed to humiliate her, it wasn't a very good one. Somehow, a Ravenclaw girl walking around the 7th floor corridors in thought didn't seem that humiliating or even out of place, to be honest.
Either way, it was worth checking out.
Quinn snapped her eyes back on Jessa. "Thank you."
She perked up slightly more and gave another little shake of her head to clear her face of hair. She knew the rumors, of course, that Hogwarts had plenty of secrets and passages, and while she hadn't doubted them, it was different hearing it directly from your prefect. It made it all more real than abstract, and she was suddenly very curious of what hidden jewels was Hogwarts hiding; and more importantly, what hidden jewels enticing enough for Jessa to dangle them like a carrot in front of her. Something seemed to suggest in Quinn that if Jessa had found those secrets to be dull and lackluster, she wouldn't have thought to mention them.
Quinn glanced around the Trophy room as if searching for the possibility of a secret passage in here, then she raised her violin back to her chin and hesitated. The desire to play just wasn't there anymore, swept away from all the questions and curious wonderings the talk of the Room of Requirement and all Hogwarts' other secrets had driven into her.
She lowered her violin again, glanced around once more, and then returned it to its case. "I think I am going to explore a bit." Quinn slipped the case into a bag that looked entirely to small for it to fit in, closed the bag and slung it over her shoulder. "Thank you again, and...good luck on that experiment I suppose." Jessa merely nodded at the younger girl's appreciation, not thinking it any particularly great deed she'd done. Quinn liked practising alone, she liked the quiet to be herself. It was an easy fix. Things that had easy fixes tended to get fixed...well....easily. The situation would've been no different if she'd said she needed an audience or she'd die. Jessa would have pointed out all of the most frequented places and offered up suggestions on how to draw a crowd.
For as much as she found it exponentially difficult to solve her own problems, solving the problems of others was something she liked doing. Figuring out the situation, working through the right solution and everything in between.
She watched a moment as the violin was raised again, half anticipating her to begin the same number again but the hesitation and subsequent narration of plans to explore set her mind on a different course of thinking. Again, the Sixth Year nodded, moving to the side just a bit for Quinn to make an exit. "You'll likely find far more than you were even hoping for. If you get lost most of the portraits are useful. Some like the company, don't let them string you along."
As for the luck, she didn't need it and she didn't believe in it but she nodded all the same. "I'll likely see you around the Common Room later." And with that she continued on her way, heading right back to her lab.
