It never surprised her when Kirk began talking about the stars. All the years of knowing him, you'd think him an honorary centaur by now--and maybe that was what he was going for. At this point, there was very little that could effectively surprise her.

Jessa nodded her understanding, just as Chloe then smaller Chloe made their appearances. Both got smiles--and certainly understanding where older!Chloe's hesitation about beating was concerned. It had the potential to be terrifying stuff. Next to roll in, her teammates from the previous season. Both Juni and Rhea got waves as they approached. This year, she found herself less preoccupied with how focused she remained. Now that she more or less knew what to expect, she wasn't in as much danger of crawling out of her skin and running back to the castle.

And rounding it off, more new recruits. It was looking like a promising year....y'know, if she actually cared about that stuff. This was and would always been an extra curric for her. Something to keep her occupied when other things could not.

But right! Stretches! Systematically Jessa began working her muscles. The 16 year old started first with the ones in her shoulders, rotating them this way and that....then the ones in her arms pulling them until the muscles began to feel a little looser. Her legs were her next target. The Ravenclaw pulled her left knee up to her chest followed by the right, hugging each tightly while she worked the muscles there.

A proper stretch was important. She'd never had to learn that the hard way as she was seldom physical but she had learned all the same.

Jessa extended her legs and pulled at the tips to give her calves a good stretch. That done, she began a light job in place to aid a bit with circulation.

Yep, had to get in some good stretching now. It wasn't to say she was il-prepared to suffer any consequences but rather, why would she went they were preventable?
