Here she was, standing in an ancient, huge stone castle, and there wasn't a room that was both isolated and open enough for the amazing accoustics she was looking forward. The Great Hall would probably be remarkable, but it was usually full to some degree.

No. The Trophy room was not ideal. There was too many shelves and displays on the walls to be ideal. However, it was the best option Quinn had managed to stumble upon. And, honestly, she was out of breathe and tired of climbing and descending stairs in her search.

Quinn set her bag down on the floor, and sat down, leaning her back against a display case. She needed a moment to catch her breath. At least the Trophy room was empty. And she didn't really imagine a pressing urge in many students to hang out in here looking at names of students that no longer go here.

Finally, when her heart was no longer pounding and her breathing had all but returned to normal, Quinn pulled her bag onto her lap, opened it and reached deep inside; farther than should be possible. she pulled out a black case, set it gently on the stone floor, opened it and lovingly removed her violin.

She rest just a moment longer, before standing up and making her way to the center of the room. Quinn put her bow to the strings, and started to play. Something about the castle made this piece seem appropriate to her.
It'd been an unproductive day down by the lake. Typically, the Ravenclaw was able to collect more specimens but the algae she was looking for hadn't really begun cultivating. Perhaps in a few weeks when the temperature dropped.

Waiting games were the worst.

Without much haste, Jessa made her way back up the floors of the castle. While on the grounds, she'd meant to go for a run...but that hadn't quite been the case and now that she was up three floors, she didn't see herself turning around for the sake of diligence. If it happened that she felt the sudden, overwhelming need for a run later (unlikely), she would make the trek back down but the girl didn't particularly like being outside. Given the choice, she spent most of her days within the castle walls.

She been about to ascend the next set of staircases when she heard the faint sound of music. Marginally curious about the source, she allowed herself the small detour and sought it out.

Trophy Room. That was a new one. She couldn't say she'd ever heard someone off in there playing before, but outside of the music room, she supposed it could make sense. Jessa peaked her head inside, spotting the First Year with ease from her position in the centre of the room. "Looking to avoid an audience?"
