All these Ravenclaws were very obliging to Chloe and her hugging mission, and she returned for seconds to the few who were especially snuggly. New terms were really the very best best thing, weren't they? She took a flouncy seat at the table and began to unpack her bag in search of the chocolate biscuits. Only the slightest bit crumbly, and freshly made just yesterday afternoon by her mum.
Prefect Jessa got a bright grin, and her hands stilled in her bag. They really could set up a meeting? Like for real? "Don't you know if you had a good summer or not? I mean, on a scale of one to discovered a new breed of dragon...? That's practically a scientific way of looking at it." Chloe resumed rummaging, this time pulling out a tidy and iridescent day planner that was already tabbed and bookmarked like mad. "I'll fit you in... tomorrow morning, half past ten, in front of the fireplace? I'm afraid I can't do any earlier because I have a bath scheduled."
She penciled it in and tucked the planner back into her satchel, then finally freed the packet of biscuits. One for the cute little blondie thing who had her same name. "Hi, Chloe. I'm also Chloe, but my sister calls me Chlo and Chloworm. You could call me that, if it keeps it from being confusing. Or we could call you Chloe Junior." Cookie?
And a cookie for Ewan, another cutie little thing. "Ewan. Thanks for the hug. D'you want one? I helped make them, and they are extra gooey and delicious. Cross my heart." She paused. "Why d'you suppose we say that? I'm not really crossing my heart, and if I did, why would you be more inclined to trust me?" Sigh, so many questions. Another cookie to Dorian, who had YELLED Her name, but at least he knew her name. She gave him two, actually, even though the food had already arrived. "You can have as many as you want, Dorian."
Speaking of... what sort of pudding did they have today?
