Not long after she'd made herself comfortable by the wifey, the compartment door slid open again to reveal ... Bel? Hattie was already here as prefect and yes, Skylar was well-aware of Bel being friends with half of the student leaders. What she was not aware about was the fact that Isa Wright no longer was Quidditch Captain and Skylar had zero idea WHY? Zoryn not being captain, she could get over, but Isa? She smiled though at the younger girl, figuring she'd work on finding Isa later to uncover what happened.
"Hey Bel, Congrats on Captaincy!" Made sense that if Isa did have to leave though, given Bel proved quite talented on the Quidditch Pitch.
Eyes back to Ronan though, who apparently noticed the surprise in her tone and then proceeded to ask about Flynn?? Honestly, she might have been friends with the male Slytherin prefect, but she did NOT have a tracker on him and nor did she really care where he went. Even when she'd gone to his aid over the summer, she didn't ask questions; even when she wanted to and was mentally reprimanding him. She simply shrugged at the new head boy though, "I am surprised, but well, good for you. And I have no idea about Flynn, I'm not his keeper." She said simply.
Which just like that, Flynn appeared and seemed to bring his attitude with him (of course), to which Skylar had to bite her lower lip to hide her amusement at the small banter that pretty much just happened. You don't get to summon me like I'm your dog? Skylar raised an eyebrow at that because she was fairly certain Ronan DID do just that. Also, Ronan knew how to cast a patronus!? She'd achieved 12 OWLs, mostly outstandings, took half a dozen extracurriculars, and yet still hadn't managed more than a few wisps. How? Why?
And her eyes glanced over toward Vivian who's only comment was to do that outside the compartment?? Um? Um...Sky leaned over and whispered in a low voice, "Vivi? I think it's actually better that they do that inside rather than where other students could witness." Just saying and all. They apparently were supposed to be responsible leaders who set a good example; she was only a quidditch captain, but was fairly certain bickering and snarky replies was not leading by example.
Actually she was kind of glad that she was only here for the quidditch, as the compartment door opened again, with a Derf who made his rounds acknowledging most of the people (except her), not that she minded, but she did offer him a brief nod of a 'welcome back' sort of thing, as he was entirely consumed by ... Abey's presence... So much so that he ended up on the Gryffindor's lap, and now Skylar was really fighting back the grin. At least between the Flynn and Ronan dramatics, there was some obvious friendship love going on which made it all the more better.
