Settling into his seat, he nonchalantly draped one of his arms around her shoulders - since she had said this sort of thing was OKAY to do despite her having a boyfriend and stuff (all of that still terrifying to the Hufflepuff, so he felt a little jolt of anxious jealousy that she was so...calm about it all. And maybe a little that Simon, of all people, had a significant other before him - but as long as his friends were happy, right?). "Yeah...it's why I'm always sneaking Picketta out, you know? Skinship and such. Reckon she wouldn't have made me her Home Tree if I had followed the rules, but now she is slowly starting to trust humans again so...no regrets," he concluded with a grin.
But before he could weigh in further on this topic - and expand on the cats and dogs one - there came a knock on the compartment door and a younger student was peeking her head in. "Um...hello," he greeted her with a smile.
"Hey, Uh...could I sit here please?" She asked clutching her bag to herself nervously.
