She'd decided on the way home in June that teenagers should sit in the back of the train, and since she was now the BIG 1-3, that made HER a teenager.
Nevermind the fact that she barely knew anyone and still didn't have a solid group of friends after two years here. That was going to change! She was going to be more social and get to know more people. Wasn't that what teenagers did? YUP. She watched a girl somewhat close to her age (she guessed) stroll into a compartment. Bee-lining that way, Maddie pulled open the compartment door and peered inside. "HI!" she greeted. "I need somebody to sit with. Do YOU need somebody to sit with?"
Maddie could feel her energy building up, and pretty soon, teenager or not, she'd be bouncing around like a ping pong ball in a phone booth. Nettie watched her kitten as it explored his way up to the window, putting his paws on the glass and looking outside at the scenery as they whooshed past. A few moments later, her attention turned to the door as a very excitable girl entered her compartment. She looked...older than her? Maybe? Nettie couldn't tell but grinned anyways. "Sure!" she said. She didn't know if this girl was just being nice or not, but one of her biggest fears was sitting by herself the entire way to Hogwarts - because who would want to sit with a tiny first year like her?? Thankfully those fears were proving to be unfounded. She grinned again and scooted over to make some room. "I'm Trinetta, but I go by Nettie for short," she told the older girl with a smile.
