"Nice to meet you," Nettie told the boy happily as she started to grab a few frogs. HMMM, what ELSE sounded good? Those jelly slugs were certainly intriguing, as well as the sugar mice - but first, she opened her chocolate frog and inspected it.

Which...turned out to be a bad idea. Because it let out a RIBBIT and then HOPPED onto her robes.

She let out a shriek, grabbed the frog, and flung him at the older boy. "IT MOVED!" she cried.

Upon arriving at the trolley, she saw there were a few other students congregated there already. She couldn't help but overhear two of them talking about chocolate frogs. Lydia loved chocolate, but she couldn't say she was too fond of frogs. Of course they couldn't actually be real frogs, just inanimate pieces of chocolate shaped like frogs and...woah! Did that frog just leap from its packaging?

Again and again Lydia had to keep reminding herself that this sort of thing was normal in the wizarding world. She didn't think she'd ever get used to it and would just continue being amazed at every turn.

Stepping up to the trolley, Lydia smiled at an older boy in yellow-trimmed robes and a girl that looked about her same age. "Hi," she said. "I'm starved. Got any recommendations for what I should try from the trolley? I'm Lydia by the way."
A moment later, Nettie realized that a girl was talking to them - someone who looked to be about her age. Frowning, she turned to the girl with crossed arms. "Don't get the chocolate frogs, they MOVE!" she warned the girl. "The magical candy in France certainly doesn't do THAT," she added. She wasn't TRYING to sound snooty, but she needed it to be known that the candy in her homeland didn't try to give you a heart attack.

Now that the moment had passed, she turned to Kimi and blushed. "Sorry about that...and I'm Trinetta, by the way," she added, turning to the newcomer with a soft smile. "But you can call me Nettie!" Ok, the shock of having a chocolate frog jump at her face had started to wear off...
