A warm flush crept into her cheeks, out of annoyance with the boy, probably. Then she realized. It wasn't that kind of a flush. She was blushing. The boy had complimented her wordplay, and she was starting to blush! No! Unacceptable! This was not happening.
Quinn narrowed her eyes at Reese accusingly, and looked away with a resounding Hmph! Exsanguination was sounding like the perfect solution indeed.
Beth! Beth knows her too well. Quinn shot her neighbor a withering, Say anything and you're dead. Food or not, look.
She turned to Oli as she removed the sandwich Beth's mum packed for her. Right now, if she absolutely had to pick one person in this compartment to label her friend, she'd pick Oli. The girl smart enough to not try her. Yes. Very much would be Oli at this moment in time. "Yes," she said curtly. "I am a first year."
Oli said 'us' so that meant she too was a first year, as was the boy, so only Rylee wasn't. "And which house are you in?" She asked Rylee.
