Considering the fact she knew it was possible, since it had happened to Derf last term, Stasya knew that it was weird that she still felt surprised at getting a badge. The badge that was pinned securely to her pink sweatshirt, as she had yet to change into her school uniform. The badge that declared that she was following in her Hufflepuff best friend's footsteps, except obviously hers was for Gryffindor. Plus, she was finding it odd that she'd never tried to find out what the prefects' compartment was like, considering how many badged people she knew, counting ones that had graduated already.

Yep, definitely an odd sensation, as she'd walked toward the front and said compartment to check in. Supposedly there was some sort of meeting she was supposed to be present for too. It all piqued her curiosity, nearly to the level of her well-known interest in the well-being of the unicorns in the Forbidden Forest, and she had paused outside the door for a second to collect herself (and maybe to check on her pets hidden in her sweatshirt pocket) before heading inside. Only to find out she was one of the first to arrive, and that Gryffindor was nearly all present as she spied the head boy badge on Ronan's shirt. Only the captain left. Plus, she saw who was Etta's replacement.

She gave both older students a grin. "Hi!" Time to get comfortable while they waited for everyone else. Or so she guessed.
