Well wasn’t this just a grand cast of contestants young, old, a goblin, some other people and her. Was she worried? Nah not as much now. She looked around at the audience then back at the announcer. Watching to see what he was doing. WHAT WAS HE DOING? Show off…. They were suppose to be showing off their skills not him. Though Cinna had to say that she was impressed and that was saying something for her.
Hey she could have a sample too right?
Drinks….. She was expecting an appetizer to start off with when she signed up for this. But drinks she could do those too. Though she had two or three options in her head at the moment. Frozen butterbeer, but as she looked around she notices that the goblin was using butterbeer so she moved on to her next idea… Frozen hot chocolate though her signature garnish was a dusting of cinnamon and a cinnamon stick. She did not want to only seem to use cinnamon in her presentations.
Given that it was summer and who didn’t like a nice cold refreshing fruity drink. Although most of the others were also going for fruity. The first thing she did was go to pick out the biggest watermelon she find. She grabbed a bunch of limes too.
She went back to her cooking station and started to cut open the watermelon and cut the watermelon into cubes. Checking carefully to pick out any seeds that were there. She sat the cubes flat on a pan to freeze the cubes. While she was waiting for them to freeze she squeezing the juice from the limes. Once she had enough lime juice she added the juice to the blender. Next she sliced the rest of her limes for a garnish, making them to where the were a complete circles.
She stopped after she had finished slicing the last lime. She needed something else. She looked around. Good thing the didn’t have a time limit or did they? Oh well. It took her several minutes but she found so watermelon flavored hard candy. She had a plan now.
When she got back to her cooking station she unwrapped the candy and crushed it up. Not completely but into tiny pieces. Sitting that to the side she went back to her watermelon cubes. Put the cubes into the blender with the lime juice. Then put the blender high. Once the watermelon cubes and lime juice was blended to a slushie consistency. Before she poured the watermelon limeade into the cups she took the cups and moisted the rim of the cup and dipped the rim into the crushed up hard candy.
It looked amazing….
Now she poured her watermelon limeade in the cups, added the lime garish and sprinkled in some of the hard candy. And simply for the fact that this was a crazy silly drink she added a crazy straw. Slushies were easier to drink with a straw.
There she was done! ”Watermelon limeade slusha-rita! Who wants to give it a try?” Since she had taken the time to rim the cups with the crushed hard candy. She repeated the hard candy rim and sprinkled bits of candy, smaller slices of lime and mini crazy straws in the smaller sample cups.
