Cassie wasn't sure what she was more impressed by, the amount of people/goblin that actually signed up for this event, the amount of people that had come to watch or the performance given by the judge. Was he trying to upstage them all? It was a beautiful drink but it was probably a bit more advanced than what she was about to prepare for the judges.

Anyhow it was time to get started. There was no time to panic or change her mind about anything. She knew what she would be making and there was no time to waste. Hopefully everyone would enjoy it as much as her own family does.

First things first she got herself a small pot and filled it with water setting it on the stove top to bring to a boil, setting a medium flame under it. Into the pot went about a half ounce of dried butterfly pea flowers. She gave this a quick stir letting the flowers steep into the water. While that was happening she took a large handful of cherries pulling out the stems before cutting them in half and removing the pits. A half cherry was then placed into each ice cube hole in an entire tray. Water was than added to the ice cube tray effectively covering the half cherry slices.

Turning around she gave the contents on the stove another good mix before shutting off the flame. Perfect. With a smile she strained the vibrant blue liquid into a different ice cube tray making sure that no bits of flower gets into tray. No one wanted dried up flowers in their drink.

Into a third ice cube tray went regular filtered water. Taking out her wand she cast a simple freezing charm on the three ice cube trays as there simply wasn't enough time to actually freeze them any other way. Now it was time to really get this going. Into the blender went the water ice cubes which were turned into crushed ice. Cassie made sure that the crushed pieces were not all the same size, she wanted some of the pieces to be a bit larger than others. The other two batches of ice cubes all met the same fate. When she was finished she had three pitchers of different colored crushed ice.

One pitcher was clear crushed ice that was just water. Another pitcher was bright blue crushed ice that was water and dried butterfly pea flowers mixture. In the third pitcher was red crushed ice that was raspberry and water.

Casting a cooling charm onto a tall glass, she didn't want the drink to melt at all, she than filled it with the plain crushed ice a bit less than a quarter of the way. She then added the bright blue crushed up ice on top of that so the glass was a little less than halfway full now. Now some red crushed ice on top of the blue. Added on top of that was a dash of silver shimmery luster dust.

Cassie held the glass up for everyone to see. Now came the fun part. With a bright smile she looked at everyone in the audience and the judges. She poured some lemon lime soda into the glass, so far nothing happened the drink was just clear like water. Raising the glass a bit higher to ensure everyone would she this she poured some lemon syrup into the glass, instantly the water began to turn a beautiful shade of blue.

Slipping a straw into the glass she gave the slushie a gentle mix creating a blend of blue, purple and pink color, the glitter adding a shimming effect. Cassie topped it off with a bit more crushed blue ice and a colorful little umbrella. "There you have it! A Shimmering Galaxy Lemonade Slushie!"
There would most definitely be a hint of cherry and a touch of lime but it was no doubt mostly lemonade.

Setting the tall glass down she went about making the sample sized versions of the slushie in smaller cups each with it's own tiny umbrella.
