Opal couldn't help but look him over curiously. Why in Merlin's pants would she choose to be a theatre reviewer, watching several shows new and old alike a week, if she didn't like the theatre?
"The stage is my second home," she confirmed with a nod.
"I studied at WADA before, but I decided I rather preferred critiquing and writing about performances than being in them." And she'd barely done two years working as a journalist, but it seemed to be working out okay so far...ignoring the odd howler or two.
...and another odd question.
"Depends on the show. I like to think I give constructive criticism, but I'm sure the performers regularly disagree." By now, she'd figured that perhaps he wasn't much of a theatre-goer.
"You're not a fan of the performing arts then? What tickles your fancy instead?"
