When she was told he had finally come, Lynley swiftly made her way to the waiting area.

"Ah, Mr. Roderik Hirsch. Defense professor extraordinaire." Her drawl was slow and oozing with sarcasm. "Glad to see you've arrived safely. Perhaps by portkey?" She asked, raising a judgmental eyebrow. Just a poke at the reason why he was here. "Since you're clearly an expert at making them and all....come to my office with me, then. I'd offer you tea but..." she smirked. "I've just drank the last of it. Coffee, then?" and she began to lead him to her office.
And........ eyebrow!raise.

Hirsch was used to sass and sarcasm - he taught teenagers, after all - but this? Was this really necessary? The meeting had barely even started and here was the Transportation Department Head, acting as though they were long lost rivals. The man simply looked at her, silently wondering if she was like this to everyone who came here or if he was some sort of special case.

Instead of letting his feeling show, the man put on the fakest dimpled smile he could muster. "Ms Lynley Purcell, it's nice to meet you." Her comment about the Portkey had earned her a chuckle, even if he found nothing funny about it whatsoever. "What can I say, it's my speciality," It really wasn't. "Hey, maybe I could give you and your department some pointers. Free of charge, of course."

Her comment about tea was an odd one but he didn't really say anything about it. He didn't even like tea, in the first place. "Coffee it is, then," he said, getting up from his seat and following her lead.
