Because no offense to Noble, but was weird him teaching her when he'd gone to school with her parents and had seen him around too. But before she could think more about that, she blinked at his next comment.
She swore she checked her compact mirror before leaving the train, but apparently the little bit of fixing up she'd done, did nothing for her appearance. "It was ... long." Emotionally trying on the brain and honestly? She was still trying to process it all. "I ... think... so? But if you're around in London this summer, can we raincheck the details?" After she had some time to process everything that happened and showered and whatnot. Because she rather valued River Reed's medical advice on her mental and emotional wellbeing. Much more so than that funny-faced Penelope or whatever. "Leaky Cauldron?"
For the first time in months, River felt lighter inside and out. There was unfinished business in Hogwarts, but he had to let it go for his parents and had to leave in a haste. Brief goodbyes were given to his colleagues, but he didn't mean to leave his students like that. The Healer nodded with a grin and took in the fact that the girl in front of him somewhat blossomed into a young woman now. Merlin, time is such a wicked thing.
With that realization and Skylar's response, his mind produced questions that may need a little bit of waiting before it gets answered.
"I'd think so," but perhaps River's experience aboard long train rides was way different from Skylar's.
"I'll be in Japan this summer, with Jace..." he said as he quickly scanned the platform for his nephew,
"But I will let you know right away when I get home," he added, giving Skylar a nod and a grin.
"Leaky Cauldron, yes." So it was going to be a long talk, wasn't it? He'd always associated that place with meetings and whatnot.
"Until then, Miss Diggory. It was nice seeing you again," he said, lightly patting Skylar's head. She'd hate it for sure, but River was making sure she was okay, and that seeing his former students wasn't an illusion.
River stepped back from her with a grin and did a quick wave towards his nephew who was already at the gates, ready to exit.
"Goodbye for now...and enjoy your summer."
