It didn't take long for someone else to arrive at the staff table, causing Hirsch to turn his head and smile at the new arrival. "Hey, Tristan, I'm doing well. How are you? Got any plans for the summer?" He hoped the plans included some drinks because considering what the end of the year had been like, he needed it. They all did.

Someone else who needed a drink? Kalen. The Defence professor adjusted his glasses slightly as he watched the man approach the table, his voice sounding as though he was close to losing it. "Welcome back, Kalen. Nice to see that you're doing better." He hoped. "I'm well, very much looking forward to the holidays. How are you feeling?"

And....... cue a raise of the eyebrows.

Green eyes landed on Curtains as he entered and gave a specific compliment to Laurel in particular. If he was closer to the man, this would've been something he would've teased him about. As it were, he stayed quiet about it but this wasn't something he was going to forget about anytime soon. "Hey Curtains. Did you enjoy your first year in the castle?"

It was unusual for Paul to be the quiet type. Usually, over the seven years during which he'd known him, he half expected the man to barge into the Great Hall being louder than the ponchos he usually wears. In fact, even Gaston didn't look like his usual self, either. Was there something in the water or was this the effect of what had happened recently? Because only Ignatius looked like his normal, slightly grumpy self. "Evening, Paul, Gaston, Ignatius." Smile.

It was lucky that the injury wasn't anything serious, considering everything that had happened to Laurel. "Luckily. It's nice to have you back. It would've been a shame for you to miss this." At this, he nodded at the nearest green and silver banner hanging from the ceiling. "Thank you. They did a great job." Although, he didn't really care about the points race so the fourth place didn't really bother him in the slightest. "I'm not too sure. I'm spending most of it with Tempest and I'll probably go and see River at some point. What about you?"

Regina was calling him handsome? That was high praise, indeed. The smile only widened and he even let out a small chuckle in response to her last comment. "Thank you. I had to make an effort." Both with the outfit and with punctuality. Again, Viktor really would be prou-

PAT PAT!

.....................

Hirsch blinked in surprise and turned to look at Haraldur as he walked on by. No, it wasn't rejected, but it made him feel as though he was a student back at Durmstrang, getting a pat on the head because he'd finally managed to last a month without getting detention. "Er, hello, Haraldur." He wanted to ask about the patting, and about the man's secret double life, but it was at that moment that something else arrived for him.

The Ravenclaw Head of House looked around again as an owl fluttered into view and dropped a letter directly in front of him. There was no doubt that the letter was for him, not with the way his name was clearly written across the front. Confused, he picked up the letter and turned it around to inspect it, only to frown at the emblem that was sealing the letter. Why was he getting a letter from the Ministry? Deciding not to waste any more time and ignoring the egg-fiasco that Peeves was in charge of, he ripped open the letter and started reading.....

................ and deadpan.

He was going to be reprimanded for helping the students get to safety? Really?! The man turned the letter over, as if expecting something else to be written there saying that this Lynley Purcell was just joking but no. Apparently, he really was in trouble for making portkeys in an emergency situation. Hirsch swore under his breath in German before folding up the letter again and tucking it away. Out of everything he'd ever gotten into trouble for, this had to be the most annoying.

Luckily, it was then that the food arrived, which gave him something else to concentrate on. Some sausages, some coffee and he didn't have to think about that meeting until the 3rd of July luckily.

He was just going to pretend that nothing had happened.
