Stuck inside with Sirius | *Splish-Splash* | bamBAM | ☁ Spooktacular ☁ "I will," Noble replied, glancing up at the Staff Table. It had filled in somewhat since he'd first arrived in the hall, only serving to show quite how much Alec had resisted. Honestly, he didn't see the point of going to talk to Laurel about anything her inner eye had or hadn't said at this point, however. Clearly Alec had decided that cheeking the Potions Professor was much more important than 10 minutes of relatively straightforward, albeit it unknown, effort.
And that made the next decision easy for him. "Have it your way, you may return to your seat and duties. But you needn't bother to come by to collect your work tomorrow." Without the incantation being performed, it'd be ruined by then anyways. There was a reason the potion was so prized, it was a tricksy little minx. And Noble planned to go a step further to ensure the Prefect didn't get any ideas about stealing it before then.
He turned sharply about face towards the door, his face dark with disappointment as he looked back to Alec. "Such a shame all that effort is going to be tipped down the drain. You could have had it in hand by now, if you hadn't let that attitude of yours get in the way."
