Not even a muscle. Olly usually took the stairs. Mostly because she hated being locked in a small space with strangers. Or anyone really. It was NOT something she enjoyed, especially since the first few times she'd tried, people had sometimes wanted to make smalltalk with her.
That's when she avoided the lifts like the plague.
Unless she was in a hurry to get somewhere. Which was the case today. Olly was late. And luckily so far there had only been one other person with her in the lift, a man who looked vaguely familiar but who was very busy reading a file. So far, so good. Now she just had to-

Seriously?! "Excuse me!" Olly had learned that manners were one of the most important things around here but it was moments like this one where keeping her tone polite was DIFFICULT. Some would call it impossible even. So there was definitely a hint of annoyance in her voice as she tried to step out of the lift. |
