Her voice almost carried in a sing song fashion while she reached for the parcel that apparently belonged to her.
How EXCITING! "Now I feel like I should've gotten you something--hey, maybe I can while I'm in Brazil--did I tell you it was Brazil? It's gonna be Brazil." Also so so so exciting....in the moment....right this second....but in reality it was all the more nerve wracking and anxiety inducing. "Some remote place I've never heard about but then again, I've never studied an atlas so it doesn't surprise me too much." Couldn't now everything, right?
Carefully, as carefully as she could under the circumstances anyway, Jessa unwrapped the gift, looking down curiously at her reflection. "Is this a two way?" First guess but she was prepared to make about a million more. Yes, very good, Jessa. Mhm.
Honestly, this was starting to become really really painful to watch. Physically painful. Cam could feel his chest constricting more with every cheerful thing she did or said. This wasn't her. And it hurt even more to see her like this, how happy she COULD be. Hopefully she would be soon, too. Because this was...not normal. Not her usual self. Maybe they had given her new potions or something. Yeah. That must be it.
Dropping his hands from the parcel when she reached for it, Cameron watched her hands for a moment. That is, until she mentioned Brazil. "Brazil?!" That was...somehow he had assumed it would be somewhat nearby. Not too close, of course. But...Europe at least. But South America? "That's so far away." That would take a lot more to convince his parents now. His face fell a little the more he thought about it. Hopefully he could still visit her.
If not, at least they'd be able to talk to each other, however. "It is." He nodded, looking down at the mirror again. "I have the second half." That was clear, right? "I figured that way we can stay in touch." Even while she was away. In Brazil. |
