Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite It was finally the end of term and Jessa Cambridge was here for it. She wasn't excited to be heading home tomorrow and seeing her parents, she wasn't excited about the day after when she'd be shipped off but she was happy to be getting a break from Hogwarts and all the stressors therein. For the next two months, she'd be no one's Prefect. A kid crying wouldn't be her problem. For just a short time, she would be able to focus on herself--whether she liked it or not.
So, how did one quell all the anxiety and strong emotions currently whirling around threatening to drive her insane a day too early? A cheering potion, obviously.
The 16 year old had big plans for after the feast, meaning she only had to survive that long. A small dose was all she needed to soldier on. Jessa moved through the giant double doors of the Great Hall with a certain pep in her step. Blue eyes scanned the room energetically seeking out anyone she knew before, giving them waves before she plopped down at her own table. "Hey guys!" She chirped, wiggling some in an effort to get more comfortable. The potion was in full effect. She couldn't feel anything but....well.....cheerful. If she didn't know any better, she'd actually think this was a wonderful night. Yikes. "Am I the only one happy to be getting out of here for the summer?" She asked those around her Cassie, Dorian, Juni). Thankfully, exams hadn't been cancelled after that Dufftown mishap and she was about 1000% sure she'd aced everything.....not that it mattered in the grander scheme of things but the confidence was there all the same...or rather....a lack of anxiety where those results were concerned. "Everyone already packed and ready? I can help anyone who's still got some last minute stuff to get shoved away."
Was it time for the speech and end of feast yet? Oh wait, no, she just got here. The night was unfortunately still young. "I'm starved. Last night of castle food for a while, huh? I always miss it, even a little. My dad's a pretty brilliant cook so it's not the worst when I leave but y'know." Talkative tonight? Why yes, she was. If she could fill her night with conversation from those around her, then just maybe by the time the cheering potion wore off, she wouldn't feel the need for another.
