Noble stood still, his arms folded behind his back. For the briefest moment there was a look of wry amusement on Noble's lips. Even now, Alec hadn't learnt his lesson and just had to have a comeback, the last word. Well, it was time to teach him that actions had consequences...even if they took a while, a whole school year, to bite back. He'd bided his time for this moment, and he intended to make the most of it. "That's funny. I don't remember asking what you wanted to do, Alec."
A smirk settled back on his lips. "And it'd be a terrible shame for nigh on six months of work to just, say, disappear down the drain." He knew Alec would know to what he was referring. The potion simmering in the lab, resembling molten gold, just about ready to be bottled. Oh, and he had another ace up his sleeve. Noble slowly looked along the Snake table now. "Or say...a few hundred emeralds from the House Hourglasses got reallocated elsewhere at this late hour."
Did he have Alec's attention now?
