A little bit update from the Dufftown tragedies... lol
So it all starts from here.... Quote:

The plan. Duncan gripped the box in his pocket with one hand, the other hand reaching into his other pocket to take out his wand. He didn't need to do what he was planning on doing, not when there were so many Muggles nearby, but he was a man who liked precaution and this was simply one way to cover up his tracks. While Melanie did her thing, he moved away from her and quietly made his way towards a certain familiar face.
It was then that a number of things happened at once.
There was a loud screeching sound as a violent red bus came to a sudden stop in the middle of the street. A number of people nearby turned to look at the commotion and the bus driver started arguing with a random muggle. While all of this was going on, Duncan slipped the box out of his pocket, held it up close to Kaysha's face and blew gently. The powdery contents were already blowing towards the Muggle Studies professor's face but Duncan wasn't lingering around to watch. He slipped back towards his previous position next to Mel as quickly as he could and lifted the charm on his body. "It's been done. Now we wait for the next phase..." And our lovely Muggle Studies Professor was being controlled and... Quote:

I hope he doesn't hurt anyone!'' she said in a slightly indignant tone to no one in particular. What was even more surprising, was that the bus sped off as soon as it came. What even...?
Still caught up in the now over pandemonium, it was too late to do anything much about the sudden substance that shot to her face. The woman went into a series of harsh coughing. It was over as quickly as the crazy driver and his bus situation.
Kay felt a wave of seriousness wash over her. The smiling, pleasant face woman you saw earlier was gone. She was replaced with someone who had her mouth in a thin line. The warmth in her personality was gone and you're bound to feel her gaze icy if her blue eyes fixed upon you.
Her hand was creeping into the light purple satchel that was draped around her shoulder. From within another bag was fished out. It was a clear, plastic bag and those close enough might recognise a few of the items for they were items that were stolen from a few chosen Professors and students over the course of previous terms.
Just like before, Kaysha used dark magic to aid her in the possession of students. No longer was it limited to students whom had objects stolen from them. You wouldn't see the magic happening but you are sure to feel it. OOC: Soooo. Who's up for some fuuuun? Previously possessed kiddos and those that want to join in on the chaos are now possessed (thanks to Kay). Actions to be RPed by the possessed: blank stares, quietly muttering the cult slogan- ''EXPOSE THE INEQUALITY" or "END THE STRUGGLE'', kiddos slowly revealing their wands. Have fun! And some students have become possessed... Oops? Quote:

Granted, she hadn't actually taken stock of the surroundings to be sure but.....if someone was hurt....chances were there would be at least one screaming kid followed shortly thereafter by a growing crowd and panic.
In the absence of that, she was just going to go ahead and assume it was alright and no action was needed on her part. "S'long as everyone stays clear of the middle of the road, everything should...be....f.....ine."
What a strange feeling....
Jessa turned to Derf, already feeling her head begin to swim and her body growing numb. "I feel kinda...funny...." But it was all the Prefect manage to get out before her gaze grew vacant and her features took on a passive, almost blank appearance.
Quietly, she began muttering words that were all too familiar by now, without really knowing she was doing it. "Expose the inequality." Over and over she repeated it, her voice a flat monotone. "Expose the inequality, end the struggle."
Jessa reached into her holster, fumbling about with her wand in an attempt to pull it free. Quote:

Maybe she should just stick to tackling Zoryn, she was kinda unmistakable.
But when the older girl said her name, the Gryffindor perked up immediately. "I'm Faith Chosen! Wait, Toussaint?" she asked, eyeing the strange girl curiously. "Like, are you related to Chloe?" Chloe was a friend! Or, at least, Faith thought so. You don't exactly go mattress-surfing with people who aren't your friends, not in Faith Teaghan Chosen's experience.
But her experience was pretty limited, and she should have known better than to inhale sharply when she heard the horn screeching and coughing and suddenly, the excitable expression that was almost always on her face was wiped blank. She fixed Katy with a blank stare, and her hands began to quiver as she did her best to resist the feeling that was making her reach for her wand. She didn't want to do this, didn't want to take her wand out in public. But she was growing tired very quickly and choking the words back was taking so much energy and - "End the struggle. Expose the inequality." Quote:

However, before she could consciously decide to visit the shop, a sudden strange feeling swept over her.
She started walking out towards the middle of the street, eyes glazed over on her expressionless face. “EXPOSE THE INEQUALITY” she mumbled as she walked forward. “EXPOSE THE INEQUALITY”
Once she was in the middle of the street, she reached into her jacket pocket and slowly pulled out her wand. “EXPOSE THE INEQUALITY” was all she chanted, over and over as she stood in the street. Quote:

Hopefully. Maybe. Maybe they could all get back to their fun exploring field trip...
Except almost as soon as she had gotten to the other side of the street,
almost to the group of her friends near the ice cream lady, she had slowed down nearly to a stop. Grey-green eyes went blank, the usual sparkle in them snuffed out mysteriously as her hand flickered toward the hidden holster where her wand was safely out of sight. Something was telling her that taking it out was a good idea. The best idea, even. Whatever little voice inside the blonde third year was telling her to try and get her to fight whatever was going on was being slowly drowned out by other words. "End the struggle. Expose the inequality..."
The words kept repeating, but her hand had yet to manage to reveal her wand.
Although the psychological battle continued. Quote:

And chanting that horrible phrase that usually accompanied the hawks that had been painted all around the school. Before he could continue down that particular train of thought, something in his brain started telling him that pulling out his wand would be a very good idea right now. "No, not in front of the muggles!" His hands were acting as if they had a mind of their own, though, inching towards his shoulder where his wand was safely holstered under his sleeve. "No!
The struggle between Ronan's brain and whatever was trying to take over had unknowingly to him forced the Gryffindor to his knees. He continued to struggle for a couple of minutes, but ultimately resistance was futile. His eyes went blank, his wand was being slowly removed from its hiding place and he was joining the chanting. "Expose the inequality, end the struggle." Quote:

"Okay... we will have to walk together carefully," the prefect said, her eyes full of concern as she watched her quidditch captain. She didn't even mind that some of Sky's flying ice cream came splatting on her shirt as she was more focused on her friends, and everyone's safety.
And then, it happened again. First, Vivian was confused and looked around for whoever started the chanting. It was her co-prefect, Jessa... and she was repeating that phrase. Over and over again. And then it wasn't just Jessa. It was Faith... then Emmalyn... then Stasya... and it all looked like a horrible game of domino after that. Alarmed, the prefect might have squeezed both of her dormies' hands a bit too tight. "Wh-what's happening?" she asked, then lowered her voice. "Sky, we're not supposed to reveal ourselves. What are they doi—"
Loosening her grip from both girls, Vivian's hand felt an itch to reach down her pocket for her wand, her eyes starting blankly at Kye. No expressions. How very un-Vivian. "Expose the inequality, end the struggle," the prefect repeated, over and over. Quote:

If it was something fun, count her in. If it wasn't fun... well she might just go anyhow because why not? "We can stick together and see where we end up?" Being on a trip was always much enjoyable with friends. "Thank you!," Rylee chirped happily accepting the ice cream sample from the nice women shopkeeper (Moira). The ice cream looked soooooo yummy. Just as she brought the little spoon to her mouth for her first taste there was a loud screeching sound startled her, straight up into the air her ice cream went only to come right back down at her feet splattering her shoes and clothing.. and maybe her hair as she gasped in surprised. Wide bright blue eyes quickly spotted the bus that seemed to be the reason for the sound. "Whoa.... what was that about?" she whispered glancing sideways at Dorian as the bus sped off again like nothing happened.
Huh? What was going on here? There was a lot of shouting and confusion. Several students pulling out their wands? They weren't supposed to do that, not outside of school, not in front of muggles! Rylee was in a clear state of confusion, her ice cream long forgotten. Before she could really grasp what was going on Dorian was taking off running towards the professors so she did the only thing she could think of right then. Rylee followed him. "Dorian! Wait for me!" she shouted chasing after him.
Rylee made it only about half-way before her running halted to a slow walk. Bright blue eyes losing all trace of the happiness that was normal there to appear dull and blank. "Expose the inequality... end the struggle.." she muttered soft and slow repeatedly. Her hand moved to unzip her bag and tug out her wand that had been tucked away safely inside. "Expose the inequality..."
