Because while it was TRUE, she highly doubted their male teacher would be talking about the days before eyeliner, or makeup in general. Also, that younger Snake who stole her name, clearly had never worn makeup if she didn't understand how the world was darker before eyeliner.
But moving on though; Kirk touched on? Kirk talked about Lord Voldemortist, not Lord Voldemort. In other words, Duskurk or something; it was well before her time and even her parents time, but she had at least read her history book. Restraining from correcting Curtains, because some things were really not worth the battle, she instead focused on the next question on hand.

Really, it kind of didn't make sense, considering just because no one could keep the position for beyond a year, didn't make you more hirable....
