Giggling right along with her friend, Emmalyn took notes in her notebook so she would remember what happened with each food and the miracle berry. "I'd love to join you and Neptune outside." When Professor Noble announced the next step, she jotted down the instructions.

After listening to Rylee, she nodded in agreement. "Yes, five beakers full so we can sample each one. I'll help you get them" she said as she followed her to the front and help to carefully carry the potion back to their table.

"I think we should start with the sour first. That was the biggest difference with the miracle berry, so we could more easily compare the difference between potion and berry." She pulled out her wand and paused. "I think you are better at spells than I am, so why don't you do the spells on three of the beakers, and I'll try two. I can do sour, since we'll have a better idea if I did it correctly, and sweet."

Aiming her wand at the first beaker, she moved her wand in a clockwise motion and said "Gustum acidulus dulcis" She then moved to the next beaker and said "Gustum acidulus dulcis." There, that would take care of sour to sweet and sweet to sour. "I'll grab a couple of glasses of cucumber water too." She scampered over to collect the palate cleansing drink and took it back to the table.

She started sampling the foods with the different potions and writing down her findings on her notes. It was very strange to be eating something sour that should taste sweet. Much more confusing in her mind that sour made sweet.
