Eager to start taste testing, she watched Rylee fill her plate, and she filled her plate with the same items. It would be easier to compare reactions if they sampled the exact same foods. As she turned to walk back to her table, she heard the door slam shut, once again causing her to jump. She had been quite on edge all morning. “I’m going to need a long nap after this class” She said with a giggle.

After putting her plate on the table, she took a big bite of lemon. Her mouth puckered and she could feel the sour pull at her jaw. “Those are sour lemons.” She agreed with Rylee. Both of their faces scrunched and puckered. “I’m ready for the berry too.” After tasting the lemon again with the berry, it was much more pleasant. “Reminds me of lemon pie!” She loved lemon pie. It still seemed strange that a berry could change the flavour of the lemon so much.

Next was the chocolate and took a bite. The sweet coco goodness spread throughout her mouth and she almost didn’t want to swallow. Chocolate was her favourite. “I wonder what the berry will do to this?” She asked as she tried it again. “Hmm, I can’t really taste a big difference. Not like the lemon. That was night and day different.” She jotted down some notes. “What do you think?”
