Emmalyn stepped into the sewing project room and paused to take in what was before her. Her eyes first danced across the stacks of beautiful fabrics, then found their way over to the rows of mannequins. There were several stations set up around the room and she could feel the creative energy in the air.
Moving forward, she found herself standing in front of a set of two mannequins on the far left side. She knew those were hers to create on. They were just her size and their location would provide a little extra workspace to spread out her fabrics. She picked up two name tags and placed them on her mannequins.

Her next task was to check the fabric to see what was available. She had already found the perfect wedding reception dress pattern and it would be excellent timing since her Aunt Stacy was to be married in June. This project made it so she wouldn’t have to spend any of her broom money on a dress. She would have to remember to thank Professor Stewart later on for helping her broom fund.
The clothes cupboard must have had some sort of spell on it that allowed far more fabric to be inside than appeared. She could almost climb inside the shelves and she kept finding more and more of the most beautiful textiles she had ever seen. Finally, she came across the perfect pale golden patterned silk with black accent flowers stitched upon it. She also found a solid black satin that would work perfectly to trim the dress and add an elegant bow.
After removing the satin bolts from the cupboard, she carried them to her workstation and pulled out her pattern. She wanted to triple check her measurements before making a single cut of the elegant fabric.
