Hats weren't really Ronan's thing, but maybe he could owl it to his cousin later? With that in mind, he chose one of the starry fabrics, the one that looked more star-spangled banner-y. And flip and flop and more zig-a-zig-ahing and he was ready to make the last stitch. Honestly, the hat didn't look too awful, just a few bad stitches from when he'd been unable to tune out the drama going on in the room He could sympathize with Juniper though. If someone had done that to him in class, he didn't know what he'd do. Though, not many beyond those who were in drama with him knew about his relationship with his dad (or lack thereof), so he was lucky in that sense.
Anywho, back to the hat. He pinned it as Professor Stewart had shown, then placed it on the machine. Carefully, he mashed the pedal with his foot and watched as the stitch was made. Pretty straight on, too. But, he forgot to remove the pins as he went along. Oops? Luckily, they hadn't been sewn into the fabric, so it was an easy thing to just pluck them out before folding the top together. Back and forth across the machine a couple of times, turn right side out and.....done!
Overall, it didn't look too bad. Still not something he'd wear, though.
