This wasn't that bad, and she was enjoying herself. Hattie was having to concentrate, but it was worth it. If she got a cute hat that she could use after the lesson, then it would be super worth all of the hard work that she was doing. So she really hoped that she didn't get anything wrong. She was being super careful to make sure she didn't, and she really hoped that it paid off. She had a little look around as she waited for the next set of instructions, just wanting to make sure that nobody needed any help. She wanted to be helpful if she could, that was good right?
And now she had some more instructions. She made sure to concentrate as they were told what to do, not wanting to mess anything up. She took the bottom of her material, the smaller one, and placed it correctly onto the machine. She double checked this, just to make sure she really did have it correctly done. No mistakes here please! She then, beginning about an inch in, began to backstitch the material, and carefully went upwards, making sure she was stitching the correct areas. She couldn't afford to make a mistake, not when she was this invested in making a cool hat.
When this was done, she then began to stitch from the top of her fabric all the way to the end , making sure it was done in a straight line. And then to end this, she completed another backstitch for about an inch. This was actually pretty easy. She was finding it pretty good, so far anyway. She then repeated the process for the bigger piece of material, making sure to concentrate hard, so she wouldn't get anything wrong. When she got into the bottom she left an inch of space, and turned it, so she could instead stitch the side in a straight line instead.
It was going good so far, and she was happy.
