Diandra often got lost in time when she was in library and didn't realize that she had been there for hours until her stomach grumbling. While she headed to the great hall, she noticed a familiar blonde guy looking at the bulletin board. Oh wait, how could she never noticed about this board before? Never mind, that wasn't the point. "Hey." Diandra greeted him and smiled. What was he looking at, by the way? Oh right, there was an audition for Wizard of the Oz play that Professor Myers had announced before and apparently the cast list had been announced.

Oh, did he join the cast audition? She didn't know that. But then his name was seen on the cast list.... as Glinda the good witch. Well, that didn't sound bad. "Way to go, Derf." Even though he got woman role but she didn't think it was a huge problem.

Derf was still a tiiiiiiiiiiiiny bit too preoccupied with his own thoughts to notice Diandra's approach...and sorta her initial greeting of 'hey' which sounded like a distance voice halfway across the castle. It wasn't anything BAD he was feeling....just confused.

"You...reckon Professor Myers means for me to act as a....girl?" he asked sheepishly, moving his eyes away from the cast list and on to Diandra. He had heard her congratulatory greeting, and the faint smile that tugged at the corners of his mouth were an indication of his appreciation for it ... but his mind was kinda sorta REALLY preoccupied elsewhere. "I can't really hit those kinds of notes anymore when I sing...but singing as a bloke while dressed as a lady kinda adds this comical element that...you know...takes away from things...at least I think..."

Was he over thinking this?

Holy flaming salamanders he was going to go bald by the end of the term given all the hair ruffling he was doing.
