Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite Yeah, see, a little explanation went a long way sometimes. It was a little strange knowing all the ins and outs of a sewing machine, especially when everyone else in your family was pureblood and cared little to know about Muggle Contraptions.
But then you remembered your mother....and her mother.......and suddenly everything fit in place.
Not particularly interested in that line of thought, Jessa instead turned her attention back to the Professor who seemed just about ready to move on. That was her cue to remove her foot from the little pedal thingy. She would just....go ahead and assume this was enough thread. It wasn't like she didn't know how to add more should she end up needing it.
As instructed, the Ravenclaw inserted the threaded bobbin into the bobbin holder. Being completely honest, if the Professor hadn't reminded her it was near the metal plate just underneath the needle, she probably wouldn't have remembered. There was only so much attention a young child could pay when she was in no way keen to learn. She slipped the metal plating back into place after securing the bobbin, then looked up to see what else they would be needing to do.
Oh, they were finishing up the threading. Jessa pulled the end of the thread that was on the spindle through the slot directly above the metal plate then with MUCH concentration managed to get the thread through the eye of the needle--yet another thing that would have been easier if she just animated the thread but whatever.
Annndddd back to the foot pedal. This time, it didn't seem like she'd be needing to press it for all that long.
