"Yeah, I guess that's a good idea. No need to rush things," Javi replied with a shrug. After all, Cami WAS only four. True, it felt like time had just flown by when it came to her, but he still had plenty of time to decide what he wanted to do. She wasn't going anywhere and neither was he. Karina might be...but if she was, then that showed him just how noncommittal she really was. If she ran away before he even answered, that would just be proof that she was rotten to the core as he suspected.

But what if she didn't? UGH. He preferred to just not think about that. That was a problem for Future Javier.

"You went to muggle school? Are you muggleborn?" Javi asked, raising an eyebrow. "Nothing is wrong with that of course - I just don't think I knew that," he admitted with a chuckle. Funny how that had never come up before. It explained why she was so in love with magical creatures, he supposed - he felt that even HIS cold, black heart would really like creatures if he'd grown up only knowing the standard muggle ones, and not really realizing how many cool magical ones actually existed.
