"Sorry, I didn't mean to...burden you with my problems," he said with a small chuckle, trying to brush the tough situation aside.

She sat and listened, really listened. She had turned her body to face him more and even had put her hand on his arm as she looked concerned and feeling for him and this situation. She didn't have children or any situations to have personal experience with what he is going through.

"I think you need to do what's best for you and Cami, not what's good for her. She is the outsider and if you don't feel comfortable with it don't do it.
She is a donor and that's it at this point. Especially if she gave her rights up. Something else you need to think about is will she stay? If she isn't going to stay and is a flight risk maybe you shouldn't just jump right in." She looked to Cami as the little girl played with the puppy. Her heart always filled watching Javi's little girl.

"Don't you dare apologize, we are friends and this is a big deal. I'm always here to listen and help you if needed. You know that." She hoped he knew that she had gotten very close to Javi and wanted to help him any way you could.
