He was alright, y’know, when he wasn’t completely stressed about making sure a play wasn’t a total disaster. ”He’s a proper far walk. All the way over to the greenhouses just to come back?” Tug tug tug. ”If it really does weight a ton like you say then we’ll definitely be needing a feather light charm or something similar. I suspect levitating it might be an option too but I don’t think I wanna begin to imagine the consequence if we lose concentration and drop it.” Look at Nat coming up with all the important details. Weighing a ton, they would certainly have to be careful.
Only thing was, HOW were they going to get this off the wall??? Why wasn’t it budging??
The figure walked by the glass again and she began to ask it but then it just disappeared over on the other side leaving the girls alone once again. ”Alright, here’s what we’ll do. I’ll take this end, you grab the other and we’ll both tug as hard as we possibly can. Could maybe cast a charm or—oh! I’ve got a potion back in my lab that increases strength! We could use that one!” And with that the Ravenclaw spun on her heels and began down the hall fully expecting Nat to come along.
This mirror would not get the best of them. Because, yes, it was “them” now. Teamwork. ”I wonder what else could be put in a mirror. We could give him a friend if we can’t get him out.” Her mind was a terribly hard thing to turn off once it’d been set on an idea. Yes, Professor Myers' office WAS a far walk. That was the POINT. It was very interesting how Jessa's brain worked. Natalie didn't understand it at all, but it was very interesting. Natalie put a hand on her hip and scratched her head as Jessa began rambling about the mirror again. She seemed pretty set on removing the mirror and taking it away, even though she was fairly certain this mirror had been here for ages and was NOT moving.
As the figure walked across the mirror again, Natalie just watched it, much less scared and worried now that the figure didn't seem intent on coming out and devouring them for dinner. So, she just ignored it.
It was also interesting that Jessa seemed to think that Natalie was going to help her with this. Oh, what was that? A strength potion?
.... And there she went. Natalie SIGHED and momentarily rolled her eyes before following Jessa down the hall. At least they were walking away from the mirror. Perhaps she could convince Jessa to just forget about the mirror. "You know, being friends with you is a whirlwind," she called down the hall as she walked behind her, her little legs working faster to keep up with her. "'Oh, I wonder what would happen if we jump off this bridge... Oh, look! A dangerous figure in a mysterious mirror! Let's see if he likes human flesh!'" And while she was indeed slightly mocking her, she did mean it with love. Jessa was a good friend. But she was crazy. |
