He needed to purse his lips to contain the laughter at Shera's excitement, as the girl had actually taken a step back to bounce, as if shaking off all the excitement before holding the small Augurey, to avoid scaring it. Once safely in her hands, he turned to hold the other in his hands, this one quieter, and didn't nibble on his fingers either. Cradling the baby bird in the palms of his hands, he let out a soft and manly squeal when it buried its beak in between his fingers, the same way it would've buried its beak underneath its wing. "How could anyone say these babies foresee death?" He was glad it's been proven that they only sang when it was about to rain, but he knew there were still plenty of witches and wizards who went out of their way to avoid them.
"You think they have some treats here?" he asked, already taking off towards the shelves he'd spotted on his way in.
Shera didn't even have a retort for when Daehyun had called her a dork. Instead, like the 11 year old that she was, she just stuck her tongue out at him. Because clearly that was a comeback in it's own right.
Maybe her energy would rub off on him? She fought hard to stifle the giggle that threatened to arise at the thought of him practically bouncing off the walls and approaching people with an extremely bubbly attitude. It didn't quite suit him, even if it led to an amusing mental image.
"Or maybe you'll rub off on me," she commented lightly, though that was equally absurd.
Shera also almost blushed at the memory of their recent discussion about how he actually liked her personality a lot. It would be a shame to lose one of the things that her friend liked. But that wasn't in much danger as far as she could tell.
She definitely let out a giggle at the boy's squeal. But she could 100% relate to how he was feeling. The babies were making her feel giddy. Especially because they were so small and helpless and pretty and deserved aaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the cuddles in the world.
And then some.
"They're meant to foresee death?" she asked, not really remembering this from the conversation that they had had earlier. She could remember Daehyun saying something about the birds wailing and crying before rain, and her personality balancing them out but that was all.
"Even if you could that is acceptable because you're such sweet babies, aren't you?" her cooing might have been undercut by the fact that the baby was trying to nibble one of her fingers off. But that was clearly irrelevant.
"I'd be surprised if they didn't have any kind of treats here for them..." Shera commented as she slowly followed behind Daehyun. Because she really didn't want to scare the baby that she was holding.
"You know, it was a really good idea to come here," she commented brightly, beaming at Daehyun.
The baby bird was now nibbling and tugging the still wet curls. Which probably made for a funny sight.
