Javi bit his lip. "Oh, I'm sorry about that," he said, giving her arm a reassuring squeeze before pulling his hand away again. He wasn't sure how much comfort was normal when someone lost a niffler. Was it the same when you lost a pet? A family member? It was no surprise to anyone that emotions were not Javi's strong suit so he hoped that sufficed. He...really didn't have anything else up his sleeve for that.

He also knew that right now was NOT the time to get into the details about Karina. Unless she asked about it - which why would she? - he wouldn't get in to all that. He smiled at Cami, who kept yelling "silly puppy!" at Broc as he turned in circles. Why did dogs do that? It was so goofy.

"Yeah, I took a personal day to let Cami get some fresh air, and I needed a day to just relax to myself," he added. Whoops. That had gotten a bit too close to his Karina thing, but he brushed it off. "After this I think we might go out to lunch," he added. "If you want to join us you can!"
