Zoryn didn’t understand why Cameron went blank all of the sudden. It’s not like she even said anything that strange. Let’s be real, Cameroni. You’ve heard her say and do way weirder. You’d think the boy’s tolerance would’ve gone up by now. To say the least, Zoryn wasn’t not so much surprised but she was slightly disappointed.
How did measuring tapes work again? She knew how to get the tape up, but how the heck were you supposed to detract this th— “EEP!” The yellow tape began to rush downwards and in a moments panic Zoryn couldn’t think of anything better than to throw it across the corridor mid-retraction so it didn’t squash her fingers. The tool fell to the ground with a loud *THUD!* but she was much less focused on that now that Cameron had posed his next question.
“….” Hmmmmmmmm. She sized him up, giving him quite a look. “Can I trust you, Cameroni Tamesis?” She wasn't sure that she could. Also, was it okay if she called him that? ‘Cause it was starting to stick.
